If you are dual boot, and some how the grub boot up doesnt see your $S, get out your live CD , fire it up and go to the fish icon and the kanotix-installer

There is a radio button thats says "Recover an existing Kanotix Installation"

Click next, you should see the option to restore grub to the MBR

(this section needs a bit more expansion or link to another page)
