          | I hope it never happens.
Any problem that effects the linux version they will just use as FUD about how linux is inferior.

I - for one - wouldn't trust it on my machine in any case.

          | I agree, I too, hope it don't happen, I would rather see a pure open source office suite be the global standard.
I think you mean wouldn't instead of would

As they don't want to really play nice with others, MS should be kept in low regard. Until they acknowledge the flaws in their software and PROACTIVELY correct them when they come to light, cannot even be trusted

          | Ther already are a couple of close contenders... KDE apps and Open Office. Why in the world would anyone not use them ?

          | Well, as does most all the other crap Windows "optimized" software, of course also MS-Office runs perfectly on Linux, thanks to the Wine-Projekt (and it's commercial sponsor Codeweavers, who are the makers of Crossover, an improved installer and super-layer for expensive Windows programs in Linux). So, why all the rant about it? If you run it on Linux and compare it with Openoffice you will explore the truth about the MS-"advantage" very fast.
 Have fun comparing them!
 Greetings,
 Chris

          | I see they are still pushing this "total cost of ownership" FUD. How pathetic is that? How does OpenOffice cost more to own? They can't use the "you have to pay people for support" angle with OO. M$ live in some wierd ass parallel universe.

          | So true, cathbard. M$ is in a fantazy world where ALL systems are running M$ crapware. Bill Gate$ ought to get his head out of his ass and see the light for once and all. Like I said before, if he cannot play nice with others, he's gonna get run over. |
