          | Okay, I'm *almost* a complete Linux newb, so please forgive the lack of detail, if you need more (which I think you will) tell me how to get it please. 
 Before I HD-installed Kanotix it could go online via an ancient 10Mbs hub connected to a Qwest DSL modem. Now that it's HD installed it can't detect anything beyond the fact that I do have a ethernet device.

          | ursa, after install you will have to configure the network. look in the kano menu (next to the k-menu bottom left), go to network internet and then my ppp config.
