Titel: Streamtuner problem following d-u of python

I get errors when running scripts for punkast and google plugins following the d-u with python changes today. A few days ago, the d-u removed streamtuner + two python packages; reinstallation of streamtuner added two other python packages and streamtuner worked fine. Not everyone appears to have had this issue. Anyone else getting the plugin problem today?

| Well not exactly an answer to the problem at hand but I used to use Streamtuner until I found Tunapie. I prefer the functionality of it better and it's far less flaky than Streamtuner. |

tunapie looks interesting. It seems to give a limited number of shoutcast streams compared with streamtuner though. (Unless switching off adult content switches off americana?)

Yes, I just saw that, I had noticed that there was a package error on the gtk2 python package, but I forgot about it, the config stuff had a scripting error in it.
I can't remember the gtk2 python name right now though to remove it, purge it, and reinstall it, which if the scripting error [a sed error] has been fixed should fix that issue as well.
Oh, I found it, it's python-gtk2 that had the scripting error in the deb installer package, that didn't get configured, so my guess is a bunch of other python scripts also aren't working right.
I tried removing both, purging them, but it didn't help, same errors, although python-gtk2 didn't install with the scripting errors this time.
Temp fix: open streamtuner, to to Edit -> Preferences -> Plugins, uncheck 'python', restart, and you won't see the errors any more. |
