Hello fuzetea,
As you can see from the address, the package is built for Mint 21(Ubuntu). If you install this package, there may be problems with the dependencies, as rueX has already written.
Alternatively, you can get the source package from the site and build a Debian package. I did this a long time ago.
It gets the current playlist from the Hypnotix and mpv is used as the player in the program.
With longer use I noticed that mpv fills up the memory.
The first problem is always having an up-to-date playlist.
You can create your own playlist. But you have to constantly edit it yourself, as the addresses change from time to time.
After a few searches, such as at kodi and co, I found this page.

There you can copy the corresponding playlist.m3u and open it in vlc network, for example, and paste the address.
Example
Click on the Expand arrow for the desired group.
The corresponding play.m3u will then be displayed.

If you want it a little easier you can also use my program bmguck. This is fully Debian and Kanotix compliant, also for LMDE 6(Mint-Debian)

Select in the Edit Player vlc, this is optimized for IPTV.
Each time the program is restarted, the playlist is reloaded and the appropriate playlist must first be selected. After selection, this can be closed.
Click on the IPTV button in the main window to load the selected m3u.
Change current playlist via Edit -> Settings -> Selection IPTV
To start the new playlist click on button IPTV
Right-click in the player window to show or hide the list.
This program is optimized with Player vlc and x11. Not optimal with wayland, as it works with several windows.

Of course, this playlist also contains stream addresses that are no longer up to date. Or addresses with Not 24/7 and Geo-blocked.
I can't change that either. 
The loaded lists are removed again when you exit the program. This guarantees that the page is always reloaded from the above link.

Thank you for this information.
I think it will be nice if Kanotix is bundled with an equivalent to Hypnotix.
Watching live television in my PC is not a rare thing for me. |
