Hello,
I have been away for a long time and just getting used to using Linux again. I would like someone to point me in the direction to get information on how to install CONKY for my Kanotix installation. I have the conky file that I like, I just dont remember where it resides and how to get it working. I know how to edit the file for my own use. Thanks. |

apt-get install conky
start conky as user, e.g. conky -d
The config has to be ~/.conkyrc by default. |

OK so conkyrc is a HIDDEN FILE kept in my HOME folder? I forget where to put the ~/.conky.rc file. Is it kept in more than 1 place? I thought it might be also stored in /etc as well. How do I make it run at start up when I boot computer? It's been YEARS since I played with this stuff and memory is very dim recalling the steps.  |

~/.conkyrc defaults place is your /home.
No need to put it in /etc
For example configurations, search the Inet, there are thousands of it.
