Ich bekomme folgende Meldungen in der Konsole:

acpid: can't open socket /var/run/acpid.socket: Permission denied
root@Box:~#
Das scheint powersaved etc etc. zu blockieren.
Hat jemand eine Idee für mich? |

Hast du denn damit konkrete Probleme?
Ich habe folgende Ausgabe:
acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: Device or resource busy
Jedoch alles was für mich wichtig ist, wie runterfahren mit Power-Knopf, funktioniert. |

als kernel option:
acpi=force
in # kopt ...
der /boot/grub/menu.lst
nach dem speichern:
update-grub
und dann reboot. |

Danke. acpi=force hat leider (noch?) nicht funktioniert. update-grub hat die Zeile mit acpi=force in der menu.lst wieder gelöscht. Aber auch das Beibehalten der Zeile mit reboot brachte es nicht. Etwa: 'Can't open acpid socket. Access denied.'
Ich schreib einfach mal auf, was die Konsole mir dazu weiter sagt:

Die folgenden NEUEN Pakete werden installiert:
powersaved
0 aktualisiert, 1 neu installiert, 0 zu entfernen und 686 nicht aktualisiert.
Es müssen noch 0B von 446kB Archiven geholt werden.
Nach dem Auspacken werden 2146kB Plattenplatz zusätzlich benutzt.
Wähle vormals abgewähltes Paket powersaved.
(Lese Datenbank ... 163207 Dateien und Verzeichnisse sind derzeit installiert.)
Entpacke powersaved (aus .../powersaved_0.14.0-5_i386.deb) ...
Richte powersaved ein (0.14.0-5) ...

Ich will aber niemand die Zeit stehlen. Ich bin hinreichend arbeitsfähig (usb geht halt nicht - wohl aber die Kamera via usb, dvd, cd) - und nach Weihnachten wird Thorhammer installiert + du + neuer kernel etc.
Ich habe angefangen syslog zu studieren. Lehrreich. Wundersam, wie das Ganze funktioniert.  |

| Du hast es eindeutig NICHT an die Stelle, wo ich dir gesagt hab, man darf es NICHT bei den einzelnen Kerneln reinschreiben sondern NUR an # kopt. |

OK: Hoffe das war so richtig.
Menu.lst bei # kopt geändert.

2. Update-grub:

Da schließt sich der Kreis wieder. Ich denke, bei mir sind zu viele Sächelchen erneuerungsbedürftig.

Wo genau müßte ich den reboot machen?

So sieht es im Moment aus. powersaved habe ich deinstalliert gelassen, weil ich acpid nicht starten kann. |

| Dann installiers halt wieder. Das musst eh nicht manuell starten, wenns der Kernel aktiviert dann läufts. |

Der Kernel probierts, aber acpid läuft nicht.
acpid ist aber INSTALLIERT. |
