Two things: Have you updated your sources.list recently as recommended by Kano? You have to get a new sources list before you can do a dist-upgrade safely.
Are you running another package manager simultaneously with apt-get? |

I havent updated the source list , how do you do that?
I also have Kpackage that I can update, but dont seem to be able to at this point either (are they cancelling each other out?) if so, how do I get rid of the Kpackage? |

I want to thank you for your help, and the codes you sent me
I am learning how to correct some of these problems and as you can tell I am a newbie at lots of this, but love the Linux environment
this is what I still get
