I've just noticed that a whole swathe of recent topics
have vanished from the forum!

Sorry, I had no time left yesterday to inform everybody here about what happened.
While doing routine backups I yesterday mistakenly overwrote the database and the backup with the Archives, and the only thing I could do was to play back the latest older backup (dated January 12th) Please everybody accept my apologies for my stupid error - I hope that at least nothing vital or essential is missing.
I am very busy the last months at work and with other projects, and therefore have no time any more left for backup, maintenance and updates for the kanotix.com servers and web site. Unfortunately nobody jumped in when I was searching for a successor. I therefore ask again here all Kanotes to re-think if they might want to overtake this responsibility.
