Is there a place where I can grab old kernels, namely 2.6.17 for amd64?

yes, use my du-fixes-h2.sh script, there is an option to install earlier kernels there, if you just want to download it, check out the currently available kernels on the advanced kernel install list and figure out the path, which will either be techpatterns.com/downloads/kanotix/kernels/32 or 64.
You can't index the directories, so you have to use the script to see what is currently available. |
