I have Kanotix-2006-1-RC4 box in office connected to Internet and would like to set up a dial-in on modem on serial port 1 form home. Does the distributed kernel have all parts/modules compiled in or I will habve to recompile the kernel? Is there a simple howto on this topic?

are you talking about a direct dialup connection between 2 cpu's or just how to access the net using a dialup on serial port 1

The box is connected to dept LAN in office and dial-in from home is desired.
