hello
Thanks for the new kanotix 2.6.18-1 64 kernel.
as you know, i am on kanotix installed from synaptic. To day i upgrade the kernel from 17-9 to 18-1 using Kanotix-Update-GUI. The only diff i know about is that i had to do apt-get upgrade nvidia and then i use module-assistant to build and install the nvidia module.
I have dunn a d-u every day the last 2 month allways in terminal in x, and never had any problem.
the only time i had to play was one upgrade wen some package from x org was removed. but that was not a big problem. it was only a matter or reinstall parts of xorg back befor i stops and restarted x.
Kanotix is all a bout one of the most komplet kernel you can find. The Kanos script make deb sid esy to use for new users ho dowt know how to run sid.
