Titel: RC3 Fails to Install on Laptop

Hi all,
my old laptop bit the dust, so I picked up a Chili Green laptop because Slam recommended these 
AMD Turion 64x2
1GB RAM
100 GB SATA hard drive
Realtek RTL8187 wlan
1280x800 60Hz Screen
Nvidia GeForce Go 6100 graphics
I have tried to boot the live CD 2006-01RC3 several times. I have chosen all the different boot options on the grub screen, including the console boot.
NONE of them have worked 
Basically, within just a few seconds after choosing the boot selection, the screen is blank and the cd spins down, and that's it.
I have no clue what to do. I'm already having withdrawal symptoms from Kanotix. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you have Windows preinstalled on your laptop, you can try to boot with cheat code "fromiso". Copy the Kanotix iso file to drive C:\, then boot computer off Kanotix LiveCD and enter fromiso command at the grub screen: fromiso=K*RC3.iso
If it doesn't work try these cheat codes:
all-generic-ide fromiso=K*RC3.iso |

all right... I have tried your suggestions a few times, still not getting very far.
However, I do have the following on screen when it hangs on one of the tests:
ACPI: Looking for DSDT in initramfs... error, file /DSDT.aml not found

Hm, there could be something wrong with the iso file and/or the cd. Better check it with cheat code testcd, if you haven't already done that.
A few more cheat codes you could try:
noapic
nolapic
pci=routeirq
irqpoll |
