Just tried this new extension for Firefox and it is great! It will translate whole web pages in their orginal layout. I tested it on the german forums and it gave me a fully english version of the post/replies! Check it out, might be helpful for others I thought:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2444/
and as I surf the site it continues automatically translating. I was surfing the whole german forums in english. Lovin' it. Works in all languages also
