Hallo,
ich bin neu in der Kanotix Gemeinde und relativ begeistert. Ein paar Probleme habe ich jedoch noch.
Das dickste:
Beim internetten hängt sich Kanotix nach ca. 10 bis 20 Minuten komplett auf.
Ich surfe mit WLAN mit einer Ralink RT 2500 karte mit WPA an einer FritzBox 7050 mit DHCP.
Super die Karte lief mit der Easter Preview quasi "out of the box" mit WLAN.
Ich habe die üblich verdächtigen cheatcodes wie pci=bios, noapic etc. bereits ausprobiert. Kein Erfolg.
Im Moment bin ich mit nodma unterwegs und das ist seit ca. 10 min stabil (mal sehen wie lange).
Auf dem gleichen Rechner läuft XP mit der gleichen Karte absolut problemlos.
Das sollte doch unter Kanotix auch möglich sein.

Hi,
die Karte funktioniert nicht richtig mit dem mp-Kernel, du musst einen up-Kernel installieren siehe links z.B. den 2.6.16-kanotix-up-1. Dann läufts ohne Abruch.

Hallo,
bei mir hängt sich alles auf. Außer ausschalten habe ich noch keine Lösung gefunden.
Die oben genannte Variante mit nodma läuft bei mir jetzt ca. 4h stabil.
Wenn keine andere gute Idee kommt werde ich erstmal dabei bleiben.
Kernel Update ist mir zu heiß weil ich es noch nie gemacht habe und alles andere wunderbar läuft.

| Ok, zwar etwas wenig Hwinfo, aber wenns z.Zt. mit nodma lüuft, geht sicherlich auch acpi=on apic=off und nat. nodma |

Hallo Schnorrer,
bin jetzt gerade mit acpi=on und apic=off unterwegs. nodma habe ich rausgenommen. Mal sehen wie lange es gut geht.
Welche hardware Info würde dich denn interessieren?
(Wenn ich eine Ausgabe posten soll: wie geht das mit dem screenshot?)

| jurz ausgabe von infobash langt eigentlic für das Problem, oder wnn du in /varlog/dmseg fehlerzeilen findest. so etwas krist die Ursache schneller ein. |

Hallo,
Ergänzung: Die acpi=on apic=off Variante hat sich inzwischen 2 mal aufgehängt. Ich bin wieder zur ndma Variante zurückgekehrt.
Die läuft bisher stabil.

Ok. scheint ein Bios-Problem zu sein.Beim Hersteller des MoBoards bitte nach einem BIOS-Update sehen und installieren.
ACPI-Tabellen mal wieder nicht ordentlich Programmiert.
ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 0 global_irq 2 high edge)
ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 9 global_irq 9 low level)
Beide sollten entweder edge oder level sein nicht so ein Mix.
Hoffe du findest beim Hersteller ein gefixtes Bios. |

Hallo schnorrer,
ich habe mein Bios von 2.20 auf 2.60 upgedated und alle Optionen aus dem bootmenu rausgenommen.
An der Ecke hat sich in der Ausgabe von /var/log/demsg jedoch nichts geändert.
Mal sehen wie es jetzt läuft.
Wenn das das Problem war schon mal vielen Dank!

EDIT: War leider nichts, (war ja auch nach /var/log/demsg nicht zu erwarten)
