Problems with nvidia 6629

Hi all.

There is a known issue with NVIDIA Driver 1.0-6629 and NVIDIA Geforce 4 Go (Notebooks). If you get Problems try the following workaround:

- Go to a Console (CTRL+ALT+F1)
- Type in "/etc/init.d/kdm stop" (if kdm is your login Manager)
- Type in "rmmod nvidia"
- Type in "modprobe nvidia NVreg_SoftEDIDs?=0 NVreg_Mobile=0"
- Type in "/etc/init.d/kdm start"

If this is working you can use the Options automatically with:

echo "options nvidia NVreg_SoftEDIDs?=0 NVreg_Mobile=0" > /etc/modprobe.d/nvidiafix
update-modules

to remove the Hack:

rm /etc/modprobe.d/nvidiafix
update-modules
