Einwahl ins Internet mit einem Handy

0. Dragonfire

Dragonfire benutzt den Network-Manager.

1. Hellfire mit wvdial

Bei Hellfire ist wvdial schon installiert und vorkonfiguriert.

Beim anschliessen des Handys per USB-Kabel sollte im Modemmodus ein device erstellt werden,
mit einem Samsung S3370 war das /dev/ttyACM0, kontrollieren mit dmesg.

dann erstellen wir als root folgende Datei: /etc/wvdial.conf.handyusb

[Dialer Defaults]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Baud = 921600
Stupid Mode = 1
ISDN = 0
New PPPD = yes
DialCommand = ATDT
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2
Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.eplus.de" # Monatsflat oder Volumen
#Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","tagesflat.eplus.de" # Tagesflat
Phone = *99#
Username = eplus
Password = gprs

und passen unsere Providerdaten an, hier aldi-talk

Einwahl in der Konsole mit

wvdial -C /etc/wvdial.conf.handyusb

Anmerkung: PIN ist ausgeschaltet

2. Excalibur

apt-get install wvdial

weiter wie unter 1.

3. Thorhammer mit umtsmon

Der einfache Weg mit Thorhammer:

apt-get update && apt-get install umtsmon

Das Programm findet ihr wieder unter Internet oder System. Einach starten und das Programm findet die GPRS/UMTS Verbindung. PIN der Karte eingeben und ....online!

4. Kanotix 2006-easter-rc4

Die folgende Variante ist schon etwas älter, mag aber durchaus noch funktionieren. Einfach ausprobieren.

Hardware:

  • Motorola C980 GPRS / UMTS Handy mit USB Datenkabel
  • E-Plus base Simkarte (Flatrate)
  • Clevo i350c Laptop
  • Kanotix 2006-easter-rc4? CD
  • slam_ als Helfer - DANKE!

Konsole:

als root :
lsusb

wenn nur das kommt:
root@1[knoppix]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

dann einfach nochmal Handy anschalten, Stecker raus, Stecker rein.
Wenn dann sowas kommt:
root@1[knoppix]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 027: ID 22b8:3002 Motorola PCS A835 GSM Phone
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

ist das schonmal gut!
dann die beiden Zeichenketten auslesen
22b8:3002

so zusammenschreiben:
modprobe usbserial vendor=22b8 product=3002

und als root ausführen
wenn kein Fehler kommt - super!

klickibunti:

Kanotix -> Netzwerk/Internet -> dev/modem Setup
Anschluss: USB Schnittstelle
symlink: Ja

Ich habe einfach das erste USB1 (ttyACM0?: USB Modem 1) ausgewählt.
dann
Kanotix -> Netzwerk/Internet -> GPRS Einwahl
-> E-Plus
Kommunikation mit Modem wird ausgegeben...

Bingo! online!
(daran denken, vorher das Netzwerkkabel abgezogen zu haben - sonst ist gprs/umts irgendwie zu schnell ;-) )

english version:

going online via gprs / umts mobile phone and Kanotix

Hardware:

  • Motorola C980 GPRS / UMTS mobile phone with USB data cable
  • E-Plus base sim card (flatrate)
  • Clevo i350c Laptop
  • Kanotix 2006-easter-rc4? CD
  • slam_ as helper - Thanks!

console prompt:

as root :
lsusb

if the output is:
root@1[knoppix]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

simply switch on the mobile phone again, plug out, plug in.
When then the output is:
root@1[knoppix]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 027: ID 22b8:3002 Motorola PCS A835 GSM Phone
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

fine!
read both strings
22b8:3002

and compose such a string:
modprobe usbserial vendor=22b8 product=3002

execute as root.
In case of no error messages - super!

clickicolori:

Kanotix -> Netzwerk/Internet -> dev/modem Setup
connection: USB Interface
symlink: yes

I simply choosed USB1 (ttyACM0?: USB Modem 1)
then
Kanotix -> Netzwerk/Internet -> GPRS Einwahl
-> E-Plus
communication output pops up...

Bingo! online!
(keep in mind to disconnect the lan cable before, else umts might seem to be a little too fast ;-) )
